About the artist.

I’ve always been interested in art. My mother has a Masters degree in fine art, so I’ve been around art pretty much my whole life. I’ve taken many art classes but between raising a family and working full time...I never did anything with it. My mother’s beautiful artwork surrounds me on most of the walls of my home. She’s 93 now and has Alzheimer’s but always has a smile on her face when she sees her art. 

I recently retired from the corporate world and became widowed. Then COVID hit. I didn’t know what to do with all of my alone time, so I began painting and posting my work on Facebook. To my complete surprise, I started getting requests to do commission work, so I thought I’d try turning my passion for creating art into a business. 

I really love portraiture. Trying to get a likeness is difficult but so very rewarding. I’d like to concentrate on doing portraits and see how it goes. I want to make beautiful art like my mom so someday my pieces will surround the walls of my children like a hug when I’m gone.
